Margaret provides counselling for the Deaf and hard of hearing people and their families.  Margaret is hard of hearing herself and so has an in-depth understanding of the issues that deaf people face. I am conscious of how Deaf people's lives are shaped by their identities and experiences as members of this cultural and linguistic minority group, as well as the many intersectionalities in their lives.

During each session, I use many different counselling techniques.
Some include:

  • Person-centred Therapy
  • Strength based Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Transactional Analysis
  • Systems based Therapy
  • Solution focused Therapy
  • Existential Therapy

She provides counselling in the areas of:

  • Depression
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Deaf Identity
  • Sexuality
  • Relationship issues
  • Life transitions
  • Or simply feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope with the day to day basis.
