How much will therapy cost?
Margaret bulks bills through medicare for her service if you have with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from you doctor.  For other clients she does charge a $70.00 gap fee.

Consultation via teleconference (ie.Zoom, Facetime) is bulk billed

A full face to face consultation fee is $150.00 


Clients who hold a current tertiary study student card and Pensioners with a current pension card are exempt from paying the gap fee.


Frequently Asked Questions

How long is each session?
The sessions are about 60 minutes.

How many sessions can I have?
Under the Medicare Scheme you can have six sessions and then if you need more we can write to the doctor and request another four sessions.

Fee for service clients can access as many sessions as they choose. 


How will my confidentiality be maintained?
Any information disclosed with your counsellor and therapist is confidential. Margaret is bound by the Code of Ethics – AASW 2010 / Confidentiality and Privacy.  All information shared is confidential in a similar way to visiting your GP. Ask Margaret about the exceptions to this rule (eg if there is a threat to your life or the life of another person; court order).

I’m only 16 – do I have to tell my parents I'm seeking counselling?
Teenagers are usually able to consent to their own treatment and are entitled to confidentiality and privacy, if they are assessed by Margaret to be sufficiently capable of giving informed consent.
